First Alert Weather Day: Flash flooding, gusty winds main concerns with Saturday night’s/Sunday’s storms
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - *Flood Watch remains in place for everyone through 8 a.m. Monday*. Heavy downpours from showers and storms return to the Mid-Ohio Valley late Saturday night and through Sunday. Flash flooding remains the main concern, as with all the rain we’ve received over the past week, the ground is very saturated. The rain thus has nowhere to go, possibly leading to flooding (like we saw Friday morning). The majority of the MOV is under a “moderate” (tier 3/4) threat for flooding Saturday night.
