Woman pleads guilty to stabbing her two children, killing one of them
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A Newport News woman who admitted to stabbing her two children and killing one of them in 2021 pleaded guilty to several charges Friday morning. Sarah Ganoe pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, assault that injured the victim, and two counts of child abuse with serious injury, according to online court documents.

The Hampton Police Division is investigating a homicide that occurred on June 8, 2023, in the 1st block of Rotherham Lane. The victim, identified as 19-year-old William Hedgepath Jr., was found with a gunshot wound inside a residence and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Teen Dies at Hospital After Nearly Drowning in Public Pool
A Virginia teenager has died in the hospital from injuries sustained after nearly drowning at a Hampton public pool. Hampton Fire and Rescue told 13 News Now that first responders were called to the Riverdale Recreation Association shortly after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible drowning.
