    Man killed in Newman Lake house fire identified

    NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. -- The Spokane County Medical Examiner has identified the man killed in a house fire on Newman Lake last month.

    According to the medical examiner, 67-year-old Larry Walker was found dead inside his home on April 30.

    Newman Lake Fire and Rescue responded to the house in the Hampton Bay area around 2 p.m. The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.

    Fire investigators ruled the fire to be accidental, and that it started from inside the home, but the cause is still under investigation.
