One day after Hockey Canada released their official roster for the IIHF Men's World Championship, the players arrived in Vienna, Austria.

New Jersey Devils forward Dawson Mercer and goaltender Nico Daws , along with former teammate Damon Severson, were among the 22 players who will proudly represent their country.

In a video shared on Hockey Canada's official Twitter page, the players are seen arriving with their respective hockey gear and sitting in on a meeting with their head coach for the tournament, André Tourigny, among others.

"Everybody here had a choice at the end of their season: if you want to keep playing or go on holidays, and we're grateful that you chose to come and represent your country and play for Team Canada."

The IIHF Men's World Championship will take place in Prague and Ostrava. The first games of the group stage will start on May 10. Canada will play its first game on May 11 against Great Britain.

Mercer previously won a silver medal with Team Canada in 2022. It will be the first time Daws represents Canada at the tournament.
