Utica man arrested after New Hartford traffic stop
NEW HARTFORD, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — A Utica man is facing drug charges after he was stopped at a traffic detail by New Hartford Police on Wednesday, May 22. Officers conducted a traffic stop on Genesee Street in the town of New Hartford on Wednesday. While they interviewed the driver — later identified at 54-year-old Tyrone Pits of Utica, another officer allegedly noticed what appeared to be a bag with what they believed to be crack cocaine and a large sum of cash. Pits was subsequently ordered from the vehicle and detained.
