DETROIT — A local high school and college football star has been selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. Tyrone Tracy Jr. was selected by the New York Giants with the 166th overall pick in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Tracy played running back at Decatur Central High School where he racked up 3,525 rushing yards and 37 touchdowns during his varsity career, according to MaxPreps.

The New York Giants have reportedly signed Oregon DL Casey Rogers as an undrafted free agent. Here's what Rogers brings to the Giants, based on his career at Oregon. Rogers is an athletic big man who had a scholarship offer to play lacrosse at Syracuse coming out of high school. After playing in 19 games over three seasons at Nebraska where he totaled 42 tackles, Rogers transferred to Oregon. He flourished as a Duck, getting 56 tackles in two seasons and 27 games.
