Central Park was the place to be Sunday afternoon for the Rangers’ dramatic 5-4 overtime win over the Panthers to take a 2-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference Final.

Fans at the Blueshirts’ viewing party in Central Park erupted after Alex Wennberg scored the game-winning goal 5:35 into the overtime period.

The event being held at SummerStage drew large swaths of Rangers fans, and they did everything from jump and cheer to lift their fellow fans up in the air in celebration.

Game 3 was the first of the series that was held down in Florida after Games 1 and 2 were held at MSG earlier this week.

The Panthers rallied from two separate deficits during the course of Sunday’s game, which included a two-goal third period that wiped away a 4-2 Florida lead.

The winning goal came when the Rangers managed to come away with the puck on an offensive zone faceoff draw and a shot from the point by Ryan Lindgren hit off of Wennberg into the net.

“It’s just a burst of energy, a burst of all kinds of feelings. It’s great obviously,” Wennberg said of the goal.

Sunday’s game was the second straight in the series that went into overtime, with Game 2 on Friday needing extra time and Barclay Goodrow playing the hero that night.

The Rangers have a chance to take a 3-1 series lead on Tuesday when the puck drops for Game 4 at Amerant Bank Arena.
