INDIANAPOLIS — With Josh Hart, there was a clear confidence from two teammates — Jalen Brunson and Isaiah Hartenstein — that he’d be available for Sunday’s matchup despite the injury to his abdominal area .

“I would assume he’s going to play,” Brunson said after the Knicks’ 116-103 loss to the Pacers in Game 6. “It’s Game 7.”

Or, as Hartenstein put it, “I haven’t talked to him but just knowing him, he’ll do whatever to play. If his leg’s not falling off, I can say he’ll probably play.”

Knicks-Pacers Game 7 could come down to who wins the board battle

But there’s been no such messages of confidence about OG Anunoby, who missed his fourth straight game with a hamstring strain and is already ruled out for Game 7, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jalen Brunson would be historic if he could lead Knicks to Game 7 win

Anunoby, who missed 32 games in the regular season (mostly with elbow problems), is a possibility to play Game 1 of the conference finals in Boston, but that would be a moot point if the Knicks lose Sunday at MSG.

Tom Thibodeau was short when asked about Anunoby’s status for Game 7, saying, “Whatever medical says.”

    What is “medical” saying?

    “He’s day-to-day,” Thibodeau responded.

With no timeline ever given for his recovery, Anunoby has technically been day-to-day for 10 days and counting.
