Three New York Rangers Who Stood Out In Game Two Vs. Hurricanes

What a way to finish a hockey game! I was getting nervous that the Rangers were not going to get the job done last night, but boy did they do it. The Rangers came back and defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in Game Two by a score of 4-3 in double overtime. Many players stood out, but three did the most for the Blueshirts.

Igor Shesterkin Is A Save Machine

Yes, I know he did allow three goals, but come on he did an amazing job in the net when the game went into double overtime. He also made 54 saves which is never easy for any goalie and his save percentage is .947. What a performance and hopefully he plays this well the rest of the playoffs.

Vincent Trocheck Comes Up Clutch

If Vincent Trocheck is reading this, I apologize for calling his contract one of the worst on the Rangers' payroll. With him playing like this, he deserves every single penny. Especially coming up clutch and scoring the game-winning goal in the second overtime period. It was also on the powerplay, so that is another positive.

He also gets bonus points for making a key assist on Chris Kreider's goal in the third period which tied the game at three goals a piece.

Alexis Lafreniere Dominates

Remember when many were complaining when the Rangers extended Lafreniere and called him one of the biggest busts in NHL history? Yeah, those days are long gone with performances like the one Lafreniere just did.

He scored two goals in this game which automatically puts him on this list. He scored the first goal of the game and again in the second period. He was easily the best player on the ice and sure looks like a player who was chosen first overall in the NHL Draft.
