C-Mac was riding high after the Knicks clinched their first-round series against the Sixers on Thursday night, and was sure to give Jalen Brunson all the flowers after his 41-point masterpiece to get New York into the second round for the second straight season.

“How did he finish? Jordan-esque, that’s how he finished,” C-Mac said.

Brunson is the first player since Michael Jordan in 1993 to have four consecutive 37-point games in the playoffs, and the first player since MJ in 1989 against Cleveland to finish out a series with three straight 40-point games. C-Mac says it all adds to the case that Brunson is a legit superstar.

“He had a bad five minutes in overtime, no doubt about it. He tried to play hero ball…and threw it away a couple times,” C-Mac said. “But outside of those five minutes, Jalen Brunson has been everything we’ve been trying to tell the rest of the NBA world that he is. He is an absolute superstar, and he has changed everything.”
