Evan and Tiki revealed the final four selections of the best New York sports draft picks in the last 50 years on Wednesday, and Morash had one major problem with how the top four shook out.

Morash took exception to Patrick Ewing coming in ahead of Derek Jeter, as the Knicks legend was No. 2 while Jeter was No. 3.

“Baseball’s Michael Jordan loses to a guy who couldn’t beat Michael Jordan,” Morash said. “Derek Jeter was better than Patrick Ewing!”

Morash noted where Jeter ranked in career hits, postseason hits, and batting average when he retired, as compared to where Ewing ranked in career rebounds when he retired from the NBA. Most importantly, Morash pointed to the discrepancy in titles brought to the city.

“We’re talking about five championships to no championships,” Morash said. “This list reeks of Yankee hatred.”

Evan felt the need to strongly defend Ewing at No. 2, countering that Ewing is a top 10 center of all time, while Jeter is not top 10 at his position.

“Patrick Ewing was a blessing to our city,” Evan said. “Patrick Ewing defined a generation for the Knicks, and while they didn’t win a championship, they are nothing without him.”
