Man punched in face by stranger on NYC subway train: police

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was punched in the face by a stranger on the subway in New York City last month, police said Wednesday.

The incident happened on a southbound A train in Brooklyn around 5:15 p.m. on March 30, according to the NYPD.

As the train was approaching the Jay Street–MetroTech station, the suspect stood up and allegedly punched a 40-year-old man sitting next to him, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries, according to authorities. The suspect then fled the subway station on foot, police said.

The NYPD released a surveillance image of the unidentified suspect, who hasn’t been caught.
