    Westminster softball wins PAC Championship

    NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (WKBN) – The Westminster softball team claimed the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championship with a walkoff winner over Waynesburg, 1-0 in game three of a three-game series on Saturday.

    Titan’s freshman Ava Karpa singled to drive in Ellie Hsieh for the winning run in the bottom of the 7th inning. Hsieh, Liz Malczak, and Madison Brown all registered a hit.

    Westminster pitcher and Grove City native Malczak tossed three strike-outs in the championship win.

    Westminster beat Waynesburg in game one Friday, May 3rd, 7-4. After, Waynesburg won game two in 11 innings 5-2, Saturday May 4th, to force a third game.

    Westminster improves to an overall record of 25-11 on the season after claiming the conference title.
