NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — It was one of the most anticipated Jazz Fest performances of all time. The Rolling Stones made their exciting live performance, and everyone from new fans to old fans came to watch and experience the legendary act.

“My first time. Better late than never,” Jazz Fest guest CW Permenter said.

“This is actually show number 95 for me. Same as this guy,” guest Kevin Phelps said.

“This is going to be my 176 time because Stones are big liars, When I saw them the first time in ’82, they said it’s going to be the last time and I’m still here,” Jazz Fest guest Luc Venderhoven said.

“This might be the last chance. I’m so excited,” Jazz Fest Penny Lane said.

Music for everyone on the Thibodaux Fireman’s Fair stage

Some decided to let the concert come to them and listened to the Stones rock out from outside the festival, like Jerry Gutter, who lives just outside the Fairgrounds.

“Like I said, I tell everyone I don’t go to Jazz Fest. Jazz Fest comes to me,” Gutter said.

Some people even hosted parties on the outskirts, such as the “Didn’t See ‘Em” crew with drinks and food while enjoying the classic tunes.

“I can hear them, but I can’t see them. But just hearing them, I love. I used to play their vinyls, you know, so loud,” New Orleans resident Alice Thiraswas said.

For those who actually saw them, they say the experience was nothing short of amazing.

“They don’t change. I mean we’ve been listening to them for 40 years and they just looked the same, act the same, sing the same,” one fan said.

Energy from the minute they walked on the stage, and it didn’t stop till the end,” Jazz Fest guest Lola Simek said.
