New Orleans police search for car in fatal I-10 Service Road hit-and-run crash

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are looking to locate a car believed to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash near the West Lake Forest area on Saturday, April 20.

The NOPD reported officers responded to the 8500 block of the I-10 Service Road, where they found an unresponsive woman lying in the eastbound lane. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

They said an initial investigation shows the woman was walking on the side of the road when she was hit by a car.

On Wednesday, April 24, the NOPD released a photo of a car they believe to be involved with the crash.

According to the NOPD, the car is described as a red Nissan 370Z with damage to the front and passenger side.
