Spotswood baseball, softball defeats Broadway
PENN LAIRD, Va. (WHSV) - Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Spotswood’s baseball team rallied for two runs to defeat Broadway 6-5 on Thursday night. With runners at second and third base, Cam Blank singled up the middle to bring in both runs and help Spotswood to a comeback win. The Blazers (15-4, 8-3) now sit a half game behind Broadway (15-4, 9-3) in the Valley District standings.
Baseball Recap: Luray's loss ends three-game winning streak at home
If Luray was feeling good off their 11-1 takedown of Page County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Luray Bulldogs fell just short of the Central Woodstock Falcons by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday.
