Montgomery County held two events for Father's Day weekend
DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) -- The Montgomery County Fatherhood Initiative celebrated dads in our community for Father's Day weekend with two free family-friendly events. On Friday, June 14, the “We the Fathers of Montgomery County Banquet” took place at Sinclair Conference Center from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event included dinner, music, inspirational speakers and a Father-Child fashion show sponsored by the non-profit Clothes That Work.
Montgomery County Courthouse personnel receive active-shooter training
TROTWOOD, Ohio (WKEF) -- Montgomery County Municipal Court employees received active-shooter training Friday at both the Trotwood and Huber Heights courthouses. Montgomery County Clerk of Courts Mike Foley said that violence can happen anywhere, and this ALICE training -- which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate -- ensures the safety of employees and residents in the public buildings.
