Chicken fingers concept appears to have shuttered within 10 months of opening
Last summer, Columbus was excited for a Cleveland-area based fried chicken concept to open at 3260 W. Broad St. Lenny’s Chicken’s June opening was a success, with many customers loving the huge, crispy chicken fingers paired with seasoned waffle fries. Lenny’s even planned on opening another East side location. It doesn’t look like that’s happening anymore, though.

Someone shopping in Ohio is $200,000 richer (before taxes) after hitting a Powerball jackpot this week. According to the Ohio Lottery Commission, a winning ticket was sold at Lost Nation Convenient Store in Willoughby, in Lake County on the shores of Lake Erie. The ticket worth $200,000 matched four of the five numbers, plus the Powerball, in Wednesday's drawing. That's ordinarily a $50,000 prize, but the winner also purchased the Power Play, which in Wednesday's draw quadrupled the jackpot.

COLUMBUS (WXIX) - A sable German Shepherd is now being taken care of after she was hit by a vehicle over the weekend on Interstate 670 in Columbus. According to the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center, a good samaritan witnessed the incident and called the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for help. Deputies located the injured dog and took her to the shelter for treatment.
23 year old Italian restaurant could be demolished to make way for Chick-fil-A
It appears as if Worthington is trading chicken parmesan for chicken sandwiches, but it’s unclear when exactly that will happen. According to Franklin County auditor’s office and property records, Chick-fil-A recently purchased the Worthington Buca di Beppo for $2.5 million, officially closing the deal on April 17. The submitted plans to the City of Worthington include a total demolition to make way for the popular Atlanta-based chicken chain, constructing a new 5,000 square-foot restaurant, complete with two drive-thru lanes.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio wild turkey hunters checked 4,367 birds during the opening weekend of the spring hunting season, April 20-21, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. In 2023, hunters harvested 4,078 turkeys during the opening weekend. The three-year average during the first two days of the spring season from 2021 to 2023 is 3,758 birds.
