Eli Klimek blasted a three-run home run that helped Nevis rally from an early deficit to beat visiting Mahnomen-Waubun 14-8 last Thursday.

The Tigers trailed 3-1 entering the bottom of the third inning, but thanks to a five-run frame and Klimek’s shot in the fourth, they took a 9-3 lead.

Eli Lindow got the win in five innings of work as he allowed seven runs on four hits and four walks, with four strike outs.

The top four in the line up combined for 10 of the team’s 13 hits with Devan Lindow and Klimek both having three hits.

Eli Lindow, Austin Ahrendt and Christian Moe each had two hits, with Ramsey Fisher having one.

Klimek finished with three RBIs, Devan Lindow, Ahrendt and Fisher each had two, with Eli Lindow driving in a run.

Nevis scored their first run on a wild pitch in the first, and five in the third on Devin Lindow’s RBI double, RBI singles by Eli Lindow and Ahrendt, and two RBIs by Fisher.

This week the 4-3 Tigers host Northome-Kelliher and travel to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. Next week they host both Red Lake and Pine River-Backus.
