Child struck by vehicle, police cruiser crashes during hospital transport
HAZLETON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — While transporting a child who was struck by a car to the hospital, a police cruiser was involved in a crash, Hazleton City Police said. According to the Hazleton City Police Department, on Friday around 1 p.m., officers were flagged down by a woman who reported a child had been struck by a vehicle and was lying in the roadway, not moving.

A 28-year-old woman was struck and killed Monday evening as she walked along train tracks while wearing headphones, the Carbon County Coroner’s Office said.
