    Neshannock Softball caps off perfect season with state title

    UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WKBN) – Neshannock Softball topped South Williamsport 12-2 on Friday afternoon to claim the 2024 PIAA 2A State Championship.

    With the win, the Lancers cap off an undefeated season at 26-0 and claim the program’s second state title in three seasons. Head coach Jackie Lash also picked up career win number 100 in the process.

    Lancers ace Addy Fyre struck out seven batters across five innings, while also registering a two-run home run.

    Neshannock junior Gabby Quin also smacked a home run, finishing the day 2-for-3 with four runs batted in.

    Overall, the Neshannock offense plated 12 runs on 10 hits as a team while holding South Williamsport to just four hits and a couple of runs.

    The past three seasons, the Neshannock softball program has an eye-popping 78-1 record and two state championships.
