2 ejected, rushed to hospital suffering serious injuries

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. (KOAM) — About 8:15 p.m. Friday evening a serious crash at Iris Road and NN alerted NCCC E-911.

Neosho Fire, Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Deputies and NCAD responded. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified.

On scene we learn it was a single vehicle crash. White passenger car was traveling at excessive speed, east on Iris Road and could not navigate the turn to NN. It flipped an unknown amount of times. The four occupants all from Nebraska. Two of them were ejected.

MSHP PRELIM 100+ CRASH

Witnesses said the car was traveling more than 100 mph. And the damage on the vehicle reflects that speed.

Metro Towing removed the crashed vehicle that flipped over a fence, coming to rest in a field, hundreds of feet after leaving the road.
