    Neosho authorities chase, arrest two burglary suspects

    NEOSHO, Mo. (KOAM) -- Newton County Sheriff's deputies and Neosho police officers team up to arrest two burglary suspects.

    According to Chief Deputy Rick Geller, Neosho County deputies responded to a burglary alarm on Kayla Lane in Neosho. On the way, deputies were told the homeowner saw an individual on the surveillance camera on his front porch. The homeowner was able to provide suspect descriptions from the camera footage.

    Due to the location, Neosho Police Department (NPD) was asked to assist.

    When NPD arrived at the home, two people were located hiding in a wooded area to the east of the home. Both suspects fled on foot. The two suspects forcibly entered a second home on Baxter Street in Neosho occupied by a mother and child. One of the suspects swung a metal object at the resident.

    Both suspects fled the home.

    Authorities were able to arrest both suspects in the area.

    According to Chief Deputy Geller, charges for a 36-year-old male and a 22-year-old male were submitted to the Newton County Prosecutor's Office.

    Both men are being held in the Newton County Jail without bail.
