NEOSHO, Mo. — Students and faculty at Neosho High School get the chance to pick out a complimentary “fit” on Thursday (3/29).

It was “Free Fit Day,” which is the annual clothing drive put on by Bright Futures Neosho and the high school’s Key Club.

This event provides students and faculty with a variety of free clothing items — all donated from community members.

From tennis shoes to a suit and tie — students can bolster their wardrobes, as well as prepare for an important job interview or event — even prom.

Event organizers say without this, students might not have access to the resources they need to succeed.

“Maybe they need one blazer, or they need one pair of dress pants, and we have them in our office, but they don’t know that. When I bring it here and have it out for everybody, it just makes it available,” said Bright Futures Neosho Coordinator, Laura Burch.

“Not one student is singled out, everybody comes in and everybody shops. Whether that one kid really needed those items or maybe that one kid just grabbed it because he liked it, everybody is on the same playing field,” said NHS English teacher and Key Club sponsor, Sarah Munson.

All the leftover items will be added to the Bright Futures Neosho inventory.
