The Wellesley junior pair carved Lincoln-Sudbury’s zone defense in the Division 1 state semifinals Monday at Memorial field. They combined for 11 points, as the No. 2 Raiders took down the third-seeded defending state champions 12-5. Wellesley (20-4) will face No. 1 Central Catholic in the Final Thursday.

An institution in Boston sports apparel familiar to any longtime Red Sox fan has been bought by a Buffalo competitor. New Era, a maker of baseball hats, T-shirts and other apparel, has a deal to buy ‘47, a brand known for most of its history as Twins Enterprise. The company will keep its local headquarters in Westwood, New Era said in announcing the planned deal last week.
