Pensacola staple V. Paul's closes after 12 years

V. Paul’s Italian Ristorante has permanently closed its doors at 29 Palafox Place after 12 years serving Pensacola. The restaurant shared in a social media statement on Nov. 4 that it is now closed but is still honoring previously scheduled events as planned. “Since 2014, it has been our privilege to serve Pensacola and to be part of your birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, and celebrations. Thank you to every guest who sat at our tables, joined us for an event, or came back again and again. Your support meant everything to us,” V Paul’s shared in its statement. Now closed: Beloved Warrington Shrimp Basket has closed. 'Hero' cook and GM transferred The restaurant was popular for its traditional Italian dishes and lively monthly wine tastings. Costa Family McDonald's announces ambitious expansion plans

Costa Family McDonald’s has announced an ambitious expansion plan across Northwest Florida and Alabama. The company owns and operates 27 McDonald's restaurants in that region. Eight restaurants are joining Costa Family McDonald’s as of Oct. 29, and five of them are in Florida: 2807 Avalon Blvd., Milton 5004 Highway 90, Pace 123 E. Nine Mile Road, Pensacola 6485 Caroline St., Milton 3540 Highway 90, Pace In addition, the company says it is building two new stores – though it has not yet said where in the region. Construction is expected to begin in November, with openings expected in late spring 2027. According to a press release, as the franchise organization prepares to make improvements at these newly acquired locations, it is inviting customers to share their experiences, suggestions and ideas for how the restaurants can better serve their communities.
