Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Shelf receives grant from Nashwauk Area Community Fund

The local food shelf is often a vital lifeline for those facing food insecurity. As demand surged and food prices soared, the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Shelf in Nashwauk found itself needing some extra help. Amidst their struggles, Neighbors Helping Neighbors was awarded a $3,000 grant from the Nashwauk Area Community Fund (NACF). This grant demonstrates Nashwauk Area Community Fund’s continued commitment to supporting those most vulnerable in their community.

The Nashwauk Area Community Fund is a community-based fund providing discretionary grants to projects and initiatives in the Nashwauk area to improve the quality of life for local citizens and provide a way for citizens and businesses to give to their local community. This fund serves nonprofit organizations in Nashwauk, Keewatin, Nashwauk Township, Buck Lake, Pengilly, Goodland and Swan Lake areas.
