Nashville area's top high school baseball players entering the TSSAA playoffs

The 2024 TSSAA baseball playoffs is approaching fast.

Here are the top Nashville area high school players to watch heading into the 2024 Tennessee high school season.

Kaden Powell, Beech, So.: The Kentucky commitment is batting over .300 with five home runs for the Buccaneers.

Carter Gregory, Blackman: The senior ace is 3-1 with a 1.37 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 31.1 innings.

Dominic Monaco, Brentwood Academy, Sr.: The Western Kentucky signee has a 0.00 ERA in 38 innings pitched, with 58 strikeouts. He’s also batting .351 with one home run and 21 RBIs.

AJ Armstrong, Cannon County, Sr.: He's batting .474 with two home runs, 10 stolen bases and 22 runs scored. He's 5-0 on the mound with a 1.15 ERA and 30 strikeouts to one walk.

Jake Maddox, Central Magnet, Sr.: The Belmont signee is batting .429 with 30 RBIs, two home runs and 14 stolen bases. He’s also 3-1 on the mound with a 2.49 ERA in 25.1 innings, with 27 strikeouts.

Christian Henderson, Clarksville, Sr.: The right-handed pitcher is 6-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 59 strikeouts to just five walks.

Korbin Reynolds, Clarksville, Jr.: The Vanderbilt commitment is batting .433 with 39 hits and 33 RBIs.

Konnor Bowden , Columbia, Sr.: The MTSU signee is batting .310 with 22 hits and six RBIs.

Brock Beddingfield, CPA, Jr.: He’s batting .439 with six home runs and 30 RBIs.

Hutson Chance, CPA, Jr.: The Tennessee commitment is batting .342 with two home runs and 11 RBIs.

Colton Sanders, Davidson Academy, So.: He’s 6-0 with a 0.32 ERA in 21.1 innings, 27 strikeouts and just eight hits allowed.

Peyton Vaughn, Davidson Academy, Jr.: He’s batting .439 with 29 hits, including eight doubles and five home runs.

Brayden Baker , Eagleville, Sr.: The Murray State signee is batting .438 with 27 RBIs and two home runs. On the mound, he’s 4-2 with a 1.40 ERA and 51 strikeouts to two walks.

KJ Hillhouse, Ezell Harding, Jr.: He’s batting .404 with a .536 on-base percentage.

Matthew Shorey, Father Ryan, Sr.: The Vanderbilt signee has a 0.65 ERA with 73 strikeouts, five walks and four earned runs in 40.1 innings.

Quin Long, Friendship Christian, Sr.: The Jacksonville State signee is batting .409 with six home runs and 40 RBIs. He’s 5-0 on the mound with a 1.96 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 39.1 innings.

George Esposito, Hume-Fogg, Sr.: He’s batting .611 with nine doubles, five triples and a home run to go with 28 RBIs and 14 stolen bases.

Saxon Roberts, Independence, Sr.: The 6-foot-4 Auburn signee has thrown 50 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.

Bo Strickland, Lipscomb Academy, Jr.: The shortstop/centerfielder is batting .361 with 18 RBIs, three home runs and eight stolen bases with 25 runs scored.

Carson Parrott, Livingston Academy, Sr.: He’s 5-0 on the mound with a 1.78 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched. He’s also batting .434 with 18 RBIs and 11 stolen bases.

CaMory Davis, Maplewood, Jr.: He’s batting .440 with a .640 slugging percentage and 28 stolen bases.

England Bryan, MTCS, Sr.: The Vanderbilt signee has a 0.24 ERA with 43 strikeouts to 12 walks in 29 innings pitched.

Roman Petricca, Mt. Juliet, Sr.: The Vanderbilt signee has allowed just two earned runs in 38.2 innings pitched. He has a 0.36 ERA with 59 strikeouts.

Chase Clatur, Nolensville, Sr.: The two-way Murray State signee is batting .358 with 11 doubles, three home runs and 24 RBIs. On the mound, he’s 4-1 with a 3.6 ERA in 33 innings pitched and 50 strikeouts.

Dawson Sweeney, Nolensville, Sr.: The Trevecca signee is 6-0 on the mound with 53 strikeouts and a 1.20 ERA in 34.2 innings. He’s also hitting .346 with three home runs and 22 RBIs.

Ian Carie, Overton, Jr.: He’s batting .373 with 31 RBIs, one home run and eight stolen bases. Carie also has struck out 19 batters in 10.1 innings with a 1.36 ERA.

Connor Caserta, Page, Sr.: He’s batting .415 with two home runs, 21 RBIs and a .631 slugging percentage.

Jaxon Pridgen, Riverdale: Pridgen is hitting .351 with seven doubles, a triple, 22 RBIs and 17 runs. He also leads the team on the mound at 6-0 with a 1.12 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 37.2 innings.

Layne Akers, Siegel: Akers is batting .367 with nine doubles, a triple, a homer, 13 RBIs and 28 runs.

Hayden Reynolds, Springfield, Jr.: He’s batting .449 with a .592 slugging percentage and nine RBIs.

Coleman Neas, Stewarts Creek, Jr.: He’s batting .507 with 34 hits, one home run, 15 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. He also has a perfect fielding percentage in center field.

Aiden Schwartz, Stewarts Creek, Sr.: The Lee University signee is 5-0 on the mound with a 0.88 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 23.2 innings pitched. He’s also batting .333 with 15 RBIs.

Grayson Burleson, Summertown, Jr.: The Vanderbilt commitment has a 1.48 ERA with 48 strikeouts to 12 walks in 33 innings. He’s also batting .372 with two home runs, 16 RBIs and nine stolen bases.

Caden Shanks, Upperman, Sr.: The Lipscomb University signee is 5-1 on the mound with a 1.94 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched with one save. He’s also batting .387 with 22 RBIs and two home runs.

Alexander Peck, USN, Jr.: The Arkansas shortstop commitment is batting .379 with three home runs and 17 stolen bases.

Grant Reilly, USN, Sr.: The third baseman is batting .418 with 23 hits, 12 walks and 17 stolen bases.

Zack Self, Watertown, Sr.: He’s 6-0 with a 1.10 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 38 innings pitched. He’s also batting .405 with four doubles and eight RBIs.

Landon Taylor, White House, Sr.: He’s batting .447 with 21 hits and 14 stolen bases. He’s 1-0 on the mound with a 0.70 ERA.
