The recently opened Mi Kitchen in Franklin has showcased the culinary skillset of chef and co-owner Nick Rho since its debut last year, providing the city a much-needed source of authentic Korean cuisine in a vibey and upscale environment. Now, Rho has more plans up his sleeves to bring an international tapas concept to East Nashville.

Recently filed signage permits show the new concept called Koré will replace Samurai Sushi at 97 Chapel Ave . The business does not yet have a website or any social media created.

The Nashville Business Journal notes that Koré will be co-owned by Rho and partner Brendan Yun , both native South Koreans and longtime friends. Details about the official menu for their new concept have not yet been confirmed.

An interview from late March with Nashville Lifestyles notes “Chefs Yun and Nick have another restaurant in the works. They are not ready to divulge the details, but folks can get excited to experience their food and flair in East Nashville later this year.”

Though many of the details about Koré International Tapas are not yet known, it’s sure to be the next hotspot for East Nashville’s robust dining scene. What Now Nashville reached out to the Koré team for comment but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
