SANDPOINT — On Monday, April 15, Sandpoint resident Carol Wright crossed the finish line at the 2024 Boston Marathon in 5 hours and 54 minutes, winning the 80-plus women’s age division handily. PONDERAY, Idaho—Better Together Animal Alliance (BTAA) is waiving adoption fees on all adult pets throughout most of May. The event will last from May 1 through May 15 as part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation "Empty the Shelters" event. The event aims to help animals find homes faster and create space for animal care centers.

Bonners Ferry scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against the Timberlake Tigers as the Bonners Ferry Badgers made off with a 12-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for Bonners Ferry as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

US Forest Service seeking public feedback on northern Idaho projects
SANDPOINT, Idaho – The US Forest Service is requesting public feedback on a proposed thinning of trees around Priest Lake, Bonners Ferry and the Sandpoint Ranger Districts. According to the Forest Service, thinning the trees would promote the ecological health of the region while reducing the risk of wildfires.
