(WALNUT CREEK, Calif.) Firefighters distinguished a 3-alarm fire at a Walnut Creek senior living facility after an explosion on Thursday afternoon, ABC7 reports.

According to one staff member, the "place blew up," which resulted in the home on Castle Hill Road setting on fire. All five residents safely evacuated the building with no sign of injury.

Fire officials say embers flew around the property from windy weather conditions, which made them have to douse a few small spot fires.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, though it may have originated from oxygen tanks stored at the building.
