(OAKLAND, Calif.) A man was killed Wednesday night after he crashed into a parked trailer in West Oakland, East Bay Times reports.

The accident happened in the 2500 block of Campbell Street at approximately 11:07 p.m. The 68-year-old Berkeley man has not been identified by authorities.

Police say he was driving a Nissan Altima in the westbound lane when he crashed into a parked trailer and became trapped. He was extricated from the car by firefighters.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
