WCC spring concert takes audience members on musical flashback through the decades
The Whitesboro Community Choir (WCC) performed their spring concert on Thursday, May 9 to a packed auditorium at First Baptist Church. The concert’s theme was “A Musical Flashback,” in which the choir and jazz ensemble performed favorites ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s. The choir is under the direction of Susie Meals, Jackie Mitchell and Brenda Warren. Piano accompanist is Marilyn Meals.

Man allegedly steals trailer in Jefferson Co., vehicle used in theft found burned
JEFFERSON CO., Okla. (KSWO) - A Marietta man is accused of stealing a trailer out of Jefferson County. Cody Evans is charged with one count of Grand Larceny. Investigators say that in late April, Evans stole a utility trailer from a home in Ringling. He was reportedly seen on video cutting the chain on the trailer, then hitching it to his vehicle and driving off.
Lady Cats pound Gunter for region semis berth
Gunter may have won the coin flip for one game as opposed to a best of three series, but Whitesboro made sure that was the only thing that was lost last week. The Lady Bearcats pounded 13 hits and limited the Lady Tigers to just one hit in a 17-0 rout last Wednesday in a Class 3A region quarterfinal softball contest at Whitesboro High School. Celebrating 50 years of friendship
The Whitesboro High School class of 1974 held a 50-year class reunion on Saturday, April 20 at Cook’s Main Stage in downtown Whitesboro. A group met early to decorate the room with memorabilia, including letter jackets, cheerleader megaphones, yearbooks and old class photos. Attendees gathered and enjoyed a taco dinner and delicious desserts while reconnecting, sharing happy memories and taking some photos together.
