MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Gather ‘round the campfire for an unforgettable “Night Under the Stars” with Southern West Virginia Performing Arts for their latest dinner theater production. Follow us as we discover the great outdoors…for some this is a place of peace and tranquility and for others it’s…well…a little messy.

A “Night Under the Stars,” written by Stacy Wells, is a story about people—people looking to get away from it all, people looking to connect…with nature, with one another, and with the undeniable human spirit that overcomes obstacles, no matter what is thrown our way.

Whether it’s attempting to make the perfect S’more, telling scary stories around the fire, gazing up at the stars with your love, or trying to find a way to break bad news, there’s no better place than under a night sky filled with stars to remind us that no matter what divides us, we as people are always better when we’re together.

The show’s Director and Stage Manager, Samantha Ingram, explains, “This show is a drama-comedy about what it’s like to be human in the great outdoors. Every audience member can relate to at least one of our characters in these scenes about self discovery and having a moment where we connect to those around us.” Ingram adds, “We are so thankful to have our Senator Bugs Stover come and tell ghost stories as part of our pre-show. I always tell people

“You have not lived until you’ve heard a Bugs Stover ghost story.” “A Night Under the Stars” is the latest Dinner Theatre show presented by the Rural Appalachian Improvement League. In keeping with the camping theme of this production, the dinner menu is hot dogs with all the fixings and a “S’more”gasboard for dessert.

There is no charge for the May 31st show. However, for guests who are going to dine with us a $10 donation is suggested for the dinner portion of the show. Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM with the show beginning at 6:30 PM. To make reservations Call: 304-294-6188 or stop by the Mullens Opportunity Center located at 300 Front Street, Mullens.
