According to the police report, a 2012 Honda, driven by a 69-year-old woman from Somerset, abruptly changed lanes while traveling westbound in the fast lane to avoid colliding with a vehicle ahead. This maneuver led to a collision with a 2024 Acura operated by a 46-year-old Bridgewater woman, subsequently causing the Honda to overturn.

"The Honda made an abrupt lane change, which resulted in a collision with the Acura and ultimately led to the Honda overturning," said Police Chief Joseph Giannuzzi.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Officer Eric Pastore issued two motor vehicle summons to the operator of the Honda for making an unsafe lane change that resulted in the collision and subsequent overturning.
