WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Traveling the Luzerne County Ice Cream Trail is not just sprinkles and sherbet. There are prizes to be won. More than 20 ice cream shops and parlors are participating in Visit Luzerne County’s ice cream trail, a summertime follow-up for the marketing organization’s efforts spotlighting the county’s beer and pizzamakers, Visit Luzerne County said. Encouraged by the success of its previous efforts, sundaes now share the spotlight with suds and cuts of Sicilian.

Low-cost spay and neuter clinic in NEPA to close
SCRANTON, Pa. — Eastern PA Animal Alliance is a non-profit, low-cost spay and neuter clinic in NEPA. EPAA has a location in Wilkes-Barre that is open on Mondays and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, EPAA goes mobile, traveling to Scranton and the Mount Pocono area. The techs with EPAA showed Newswatch 16 inside the mobile clinic, where thousands of stray and feral cats are fixed each year.
