Ms. Renee Koski is a well-known and loved teacher at Mountain Iron-Buhl High School. Throughout her entire time at our school, she has focused on the special education department.

She helps multiple students everyday to the best of her ability. She has formed meaningful relationships and left an impact on these students’ lives. I had the pleasure of being able to interview her before she continues her life journey.

To begin, I asked her some questions about her teaching career.

BN: “What was your favorite memory about working at MI-B?“

RK: “I think my greatest memory is seeing students reach their potential.”

BN: “How long have you been teaching?”

RK: “32 years.”

BN: “What are your plans for after retirement?”

RK: “To relax and possibly move to California.”

BN: “What was your greatest accomplishment in your career?”

RK: “Seeing students increase in grade levels and be acknowledged by the school community for their due diligence.”

BN: “What advice would you give to your students?”

RK: “First, take your homework home and work on it for at least an hour a night/elementary would be less. Second, work toward your true potential. Third, don’t ever give up/seek support from people around you”

BN: “What was the hardest part of being a teacher?”

RK: “Multi-tasking every hour of the day.”

BN: “What will you miss the most about working here?”

RK: “The students and people I work with each day.”

I would like to thank Ms. Koski for taking the time to do this interview. You have been a wonderful teacher and made the lives of everyone brighter. On behalf of our community, we wish you luck and happiness in your retirement. Leaving a job after 32 years must be a big change, and we are with you every step of the way.
