South County ‘public’ transportation: We need someone to step up and meet the growing need
I would like to share some information regarding “public transportation” in the southern Berkshires. This community is not being properly served by Berkshire Regional Transportation (BRTA). BRTA has made a few attempts at providinging limited bus service without any real success. Why? Because real people need on-demand transportation, not a fixed route twice a day. What is missing? A taxi service! Remember when Taxico served South County? This private taxi service provided rides for those who did not have their own automobiles.
