20-year-old man shot, killed in Uniontown
UNIONTOWN, Pa. (KDKA) -- The shooting of a 20-year-old man in Uniontown was ruled a homicide, the coroner said on Monday.Investigators say Jacob Wilson-Forcina was shot at a home on Murray Avenue on Sunday night during a gathering with other young people."From what I understand, it was some type of neighbor dispute or an argument ensued," Uniontown Police Lt. Tom Kolencik said.Wilson-Forcina is one of 6 children and just a few days away from graduating high school."I know he had his demons; you know what I mean, everybody does," Aaron Wilson, his father, said. "He was a good boy. He was just mixed up. We all get mixed up."The 20-year-old had some run-ins with the law. He was on bond for a February weapons charge. Most recently, Wilson-Forcina was wanted by Uniontown police.His father said he warned his son, but he wouldn't listen."Stay away from the streets or you're going to wound up dead," he said. "That was my last conversation with him two days ago."It's still early in the investigation, but investigators have no leads. Uniontown police want anyone with information to come forward."I just hope they get whoever did this to my kid," said Aaron.
Off-duty trooper arrested on burglary and aggravated assault charges
UNIONTOWN, Pa. (KDKA) — An off-duty Pennsylvania State Police trooper was arrested and charged with burglary and aggravated assault. Trooper James Stevenson was arrested in Fayette County this weekend. He is a trooper at the Uniontown Barracks and was off duty when the alleged incident happened. According to the criminal complaint, Stevenson went to a home on Oak Street in Connellsville just before 1 a.m. on Sunday. He found, according to police, a woman getting ready to have sex with another man. Update: Flash flood warning for Greene County until 1:45 a.m. Sunday
The National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning at 10:46 p.m. on Saturday in effect until Sunday at 1:45 a.m. for Greene County. "At 10:46 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," explains the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."
