Mount Dora, FL - A Mount Dora man is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening bartenders with a gun at a bar early Sunday morning.

Authorities say 39-year-old Carlton Lacey was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

The incident occurred around 2:15 am at Big Dog Saloon in Mount Dora.

According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, bartenders reported that Lacey pulled a gun on them after they informed him the bar was closing.

One bartender said she told patrons it was time to leave, and Lacey allegedly grabbed a gun and waved it in her direction.

A second bartender then asked Lacey to leave, and he reportedly pointed the gun at her chest and made a threatening remark.

Witnesses corroborated the bartenders' story, stating they saw Lacey with a gun inside and outside the bar.

Deputies located Lacey in the parking lot, but he allegedly fled on foot.

Bartenders provided the license plate number of the car Lacey arrived in, leading to a traffic stop.

Although Lacey denied the accusations and deputies couldn't find a weapon, he remains in custody with a $21,000 bond.
