Mount Airy Parks and Recreation has announced a change to this weekend's Kids Fest.

The event is still going on but due to the threat of poor weather, organizers have moved the festivities inside.

In a statement released early Friday they said, "With impending weather the fun of KidsFest at Riverside Park will now be packed into Reeves Community Center."

"There will be carnival games, face painting, bounce house obstacle course, sports, performances from regional artists, a magician, balloon artist, B Dazzle Productions with Bubbles and much more. This event is free to the community, and we hope to see everyone at RCC between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Also, two participants will leave with a new, shiny bicycle so don't miss out on the fun!"
