Sununu Signs 15 Bills, Vetoes 1
CONCORD – Gov. Chris Sununu issued the following statement regarding HB 1003, relative to name changes for inmates, parolees, and convicted felons:. “It is our shared responsibility to provide for the protection of the most vulnerable among us, especially children and victims of violent crime,” said Gov. Chris Sununu. “In signing this bill, the State of New Hampshire is safeguarding victim rights by increasing notification requirements to victims and their families.”

New England Medicine and Counseling Associates locations in Manchester, Newport, Rochester, Grantham, and two in Vermont have closed, which comes after the owner, Dr. Adnan S. Khan, was indicted.

Elm Street School 5th graders visit Lakeport
Andrea Morin’s fifth grade class from Elm Street Elementary School visited The Laconia Daily Sun during a walking field trip to Lakeport on Thursday. The trip included stops at Wayfarer Coffee, Fratello's Italian Grille, The Lakeport Opera House and The Sun. They also visited Sanborn Park for recess. The aim was to explore and learn about different businesses in Lakeport, as well as seeing geometry in the world around them. Some of the questions they asked were about how a newspaper is printed, the roles and responsibilities of reporters, and how a newspaper can be distributed to everyone in town.
