Elm Street School 5th graders visit Lakeport
Andrea Morin’s fifth grade class from Elm Street Elementary School visited The Laconia Daily Sun during a walking field trip to Lakeport on Thursday. The trip included stops at Wayfarer Coffee, Fratello's Italian Grille, The Lakeport Opera House and The Sun. They also visited Sanborn Park for recess. The aim was to explore and learn about different businesses in Lakeport, as well as seeing geometry in the world around them. Some of the questions they asked were about how a newspaper is printed, the roles and responsibilities of reporters, and how a newspaper can be distributed to everyone in town.
Seacoast high school softball: Breaking down NH tournament matchups

Tristan Vicente recognized as April Laker of the Month
Inter-Lakes eighth grader Tristan Vicente was recently chosen as the April Laker of the Month. Vicente came to Inter-Lakes at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year. Since his arrival to ILMHS, he has made many friends and has applied himself to his academic work as well as a student athlete. He has also been instrumental in helping to welcome other new students to Inter-Lakes as he is keenly aware of the challenges of being new.
