NEW HAVEN — A large tree fell onto a house in New Haven late Sunday night, prompting authorities to close off the area surrounding Button Street and Lamberton. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when a tree unexpectedly toppled over, bringing down power lines with it and causing significant damage to a home on Button Street.
