SKY Soccer Spring Classic Tournament set to take place this weekend
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – May 4 & 5, SKY Soccer welcomes teams from around the region to compete in their Sky Spring Classic Tournament. This will be the 30th edition of the tournament for all ages, with teams coming from throughout the Commonwealth, as well as Ohio, Indiana, Missouri and Tennessee to compete.
Records fall in Great Gator track meet at Bowling Green
The HCHS track teams competed in the Great Gator Invitational at Bowling Green Friday. The Hornet boys team placed third. The girls were 13th. The Hancock County boys 4×200 meter relay team placed second in 1:34. In the process they broke the HCHS school record by more than 1.5 seconds. Hornet runners were Wyatt Emmick, Matthew Carroll, Cooper Jones and Ben Baker.

Eric Murphy announced as Hilltopper Basketball assistant coach
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU men’s basketball has announced the hiring of Eric Murphy to join the staff as an assistant coach under head coach Hank Plona. Murphy joins the Hilltopper Basketball staff after serving as head coach at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Florida for six years.
Isenbarger Tabbed as CUSA Field Athlete of the Week
DALLAS – WKU Track and Field Senior Katie Isenbarger has been named Conference USA Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. On the accomplishment, head coach Brent Chumbley said “I cannot imagine a more deserving athlete. 6 ‘2 ” was a goal for us this season so now we can focus on our next number.”
Horse owned by WKU alumnus set to race in the Kentucky Oaks

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – WKU Women’s Tennis junior Sofia Blanco was named to the All-Conference USA Singles Second Team, the league announced Wednesday. “We are really proud of Sofia and her accomplishment,” WKU Women’s Tennis Head Coach Greg Davis said. “She was very close to having a perfect record in singles, which is an incredible achievement.”
