Williston, VT- iSun, a major Vermont-based solar panel company, has filed for bankruptcy due to decreasing revenue. In a court filing made on June 3, iSun CEO Jeff Peck wrote that the company didn’t turn a profit for the past two years and saw a net loss of about $19 million in 2023 and $53 million in 2022, with a projected loss of $10 million this year. Peck attributed the decline in sales to rising interest rates driving down consumer interest, and making it more difficult to finance solar panel purchases.
