Montgomery, Pa. — Get ready for Flag Day with Eagle Grange #1's feature program detailing the history of the American flag.

The event will be presented by Mr. Rudy Mummey of Lewisburg, a vexillologist and flag collector who has been collecting for 68 years. He owns over 1,900 flags and takes a great interest in their history, symbolism, and usage.

The free, public presentation about the U.S. flag will take place Tuesday, June 4. Mr. Mummey will also bring some of his flags for guests to look at.

The evening will include a short business meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Grange Hall, 32 East Blind Road, Montgomery. Local municipal officials are expected to present donations for the Grange’s most recent capital improvement project.

Refreshments will be served at approximately 7:15 p.m. with the flag program to follow.

For more details, contact Grange Program Coordinator Doug Bonsall at 717-921-1957.
