Amber Alert for Alabama teenager, 5-year-old child canceled

UPDATE: An Amber Alert issued for Janayizha Gunn and Kaiden Perryman was canceled Tuesday night by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. No additional details have been released to the media at this time.

Original: Police searching for teenager who allegedly kidnapped 5-year-old child in Alabama

MONTGOMERY, Ala. ( WIAT ) — Police are searching for a 5-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped by a teenager in Montgomery Monday.

A statewide AMBER Alert has been issued regarding the disappearance of Kaiden Perryman, 5, who was allegedly abducted by Janayizha Gunn, 13, who was last seen driving a white 2011 Chevrolet Equinox near the Gibbs Village in Montgomery at 9 p.m. Monday.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated that as of 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Equinox had been found, but the children were not there.

No information has been released on whether or not Perryman knew Gunn or what the circumstances were surrounding their disappearance.

Anyone with information on Gunn or Perryman’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 911.
