Additional victims of serial rapist sought by investigators
Authorities are seeking additional victims of a serial rapist who was arrested on Monday for sexually assaulting two women along Highway 39 in the Angeles National Forest. Deputies learned of the victims, both of whom were assaulted between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on May 12 and May 13, inside of the suspect's vehicle after he drove them to the secluded area on different days, according to statements from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. After years of planning and fundraising, the Santa Fe High School community is set to receive a poignant tribute to the victims of a tragic school shooting that shook the nation six years ago. The Santa Fe Ten Memorial Foundation, on the anniversary of the May 18, 2018, tragedy, unveiled the design for a memorial to honor the lives of eight students and two teachers lost in the gunfire.
Person Hit by Vehicle and Killed in Rowland Heights Area
A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and killed Monday in the Rowland Heights area, and an investigation was underway. The person was injured about 5:50 a.m. at Colima and Fullerton roads and died at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol. Information on the person’s identity was not immediately available.
