Cashmere woman celebrates 104th birthday
WENATCHEE – Colonial Vista Community’s oldest resident, Mabel Hoffman, celebrated turning 104 with a garden tea party, surrounded by 60 of her friends and family. Local artist selected for commissioned arts program at Michigan national park
WENATCHEE — Local artist Kasey Koski has been selected for an arts fellowship to create a sculpture for Keweenaw National Historic Park in Michigan. Koski has created a number of public art pieces in the valley, including the 11-foot tall yeti sculpture at Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort, which she says is her most difficult piece to date.
Two murals to be painted on the Wenatchee Row & Paddle Club’s annex building
WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Row & Paddle Club and the Chelan County PUD have partnered to announce that two new murals will be painted on the WRPC’s annex building. The front of the annex building, located near Ninth Street and Walla Walla Avenue, will soon feature silhouettes of both a kayaker and rower. The mural is dedicated to Elliot Scull, WRPC’s founder, and his wife Tina.
Leavenworth Library hosts Birdfest Poster Contest art show
